Today we celebrated Cinco de Mayo...

Mrs. Teague could not resist the flamingo pinata. 

Flamingos are her favorite.

The pinata did not last long thanks to softball season.

We heard a lot of "This is the best day ever!"

The children really appreciated the generous donations of candy.

We had so much candy we were also able to have a candy toss with the parachute.

The Little Red Hen

Today we read "The Little Red Hen"

 We made bracelets to help remember the story....

We baked delicious golden brown bread........

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Today we learned about the water cycle.  We used shaving cream and blue food coloring to show how rain is formed in clouds.

Diet Coke and Mentos Eruption

Did you ever wonder what would happen if you dropped "Mentos" in a bottle of Diet Coke?  We found out today.  It erupts.  How Cool!  We are glad we took this experiment outside on a beautiful day.

Floating S's

We made the S's on "Skittles" magically appear to be floating on water.  How did we do it?  The S's are placed on each candy with edible ink that dissolves slower than the candy coating.

Play Dough Recipe:

1 Cup Salt

1 Cup Water (add food coloring)

2 cups flour

1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil

(Mix well and store in an airtight container).
